FKM materials are widely used in situations where high resistance to heat and/or chemical influences is required. In addition, FKM is known for its excellent resistance to ozone, weather influences and ageing. Thanks to its very low gas permeability, FKM is also particularly suitable for use in vacuum applications.
Temperatures: 15 to +200°C
Resistant to:
Mineral oil-based oils and lubricating greases
Aliphatic hydrocarbons
Aromatic hydrocarbons
Chlorinated hydrocarbons
HFD-type pressure fluids
Vegetable and animal fats and oils
Silicone oils and greases
Motor fuels
Non-polar solvents
Ozone, weather influences and ageing
FKM is not suitable for contact with:
Glycol-containing brake fluids
Polar solvents (such as acetone)
Superheated water vapour
Hot water
Amines and bases (alkalis)
Low molecular weight acids (such as acetic acid)
